Meetings and Special Events at The Farm
The Farmhouse Inn accommodates groups, large or small, for special events, meetings, and corporate events. Each event is unique with different needs and we welcome the opportunity to provide custom pricing to meet the specific needs. The following information is given to begin the planning of your special event or meeting at the Farmhouse Inn.

Facilities:
The Red Barn Meeting Room is a two story, schoolhouse shaped barn with wide plank barn-wood flooring and wainscoting and includes a caterers' kitchen and two public restrooms. The main dining area is 24' by 48' and accommodates 64 seated at round tables. The adjacent outdoor terrace with arbor accommodates another 32 seated at round tables. A lawn can be tented outside the terrace for more people or music, dancing, etc. The dining room has CD stereo and 4 corner speakers. An 8' by 10' greeting area can be used for gift tables, nametags, etc.
The Gardens and lawns can be used for lawn parties, team building events, or catered corporate dinners. The Courtyard Garden is nestled between the Ellis Lane Farmhouse and the adjacent wing of guestrooms and includes a large brick patio that can seat up to 100 people and is surrounded by raised flower beds. Chairs can spill onto the grass lawn and the view to the horizon is wonderful on summer nights for sunset concerts.
Overnight Guest Accommodations includes 5 private guest rooms, Hillside Cottage and Ellis Lane Farmhouse. In all there are 11 bedrooms with 15 beds and 3 sofa beds, accommodating up to 30 individuals. For a Friday or Saturday night special event the full facility must be rented. Amenities for guests include several miles of hiking trails passing woods, two fishing ponds, creeks, and the shoreline of the Apalachee River. A picnic area at the river provides a beautiful, rustic setting of seating, bonfire pit, hammock, and canoes. A golf cart is available at a charge of $5 an hour to explore the trails. A full breakfast is served to groups in the Red Barn Meeting Room. Group activities are available including guided tours of homes and museums in Madison, carriage rides of the historic district, and guided nature walks and hayrides on the farm. These are priced individually.
Weekday Rates (including Sunday): Weekday and weeknight rates are quoted on an individual basis according to number of guests and nature of event. The Red Barn Meeting Room can be rented hourly or daily for meetings. Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be served and is priced per person based on menu. For a weekday rental use of the overnight accommodations is optional and is priced separately.
Weekend Rates: (Friday and Saturday) Weekend rates including overnight guest lodging for two nights begins at $3760 and includes usage of the Red Barn, adjacent terrace and the guestrooms. Garden and lawn usage are quoted per event by the innkeeper depending on the usage. Catering and rentals are not included.
Hours of events are contained from 8AM to 11:30PM. Music is allowed till 11:30PM. The Red Barn Meeting Room and lawns must be vacated by 12 midnight.
Catering and rentals are arranged by the client at their own expense. The Farmhouse Inn keeps a limited supply of tables and chairs which can be rented. Please contact us for an inventory listing. The Inn does not have a liquor license However you can provide your own or contract the service. The Inn reserves the right to close down the bar at any time.
Smoking is not allowed in guestrooms or the Red Barn Meeting Room. Smoking is allowed on lawns and patios at clients discretion. Smoking in a guest room or meeting room results in an extra $100 charge to dry clean and deodorize.
Policies and Deposits to hold a weekend date for a full facility rental begins with a $250 "hold the date" deposit taken and is refundable for the next 30 days (provided the event date is at least 3 months away). Within 30 days of holding the date, a reservation deposit of ½ of total amount due minus $250 is taken to keep the reservation. This reservation deposit is refundable until 60 days prior to your event. If canceling prior to the 60 day notice, the reservation deposit is refunded minus a $250 cancellation fee. After the 60 day notice has passed no refund can be obtained.
Overnight Guest Accommodations
The Farmhouse Inn, with 5 private guest rooms, Hillside Cottage and Ellis Lane Farmhouse, includes 11 bedrooms with 15 beds and 3 sofa beds, accommodating up to 30 individuals. The Guestroom rental is included in a full facility rental rate at $3760 for two nights with use of the Red Barn Meeting Room. The following description will assist you in your group rental planning:
American Homestead Room - King-size bed, sofa sleeper, sleeps up to 3 adults
River Cottage Room - Queen-size bed, sofa sleeper, sleeps up to 3 adults
Meadow Garden Room - Queen-size bed, sofa sleeper, sleeps up to 3 adults. These three guest room suites have private entrances from a covered porch, private baths, and separate sitting area with sofa beds. These three guestrooms are $160 plus tax per room per night for double occupancy, $10 per extra person with a 3 adult minimum or 4 total persons.
Hay Loft - King-size bed, sleeps up to 2
Orchard Loft - King-size bed, sleeps up to 2
These two guest rooms are located above the Red Barn Meeting Room and share a stair case and hallway. Each has a private bath. These two rooms are $140 plus tax per room per night.
Hillside Cottage - A separate two bedroom cottage featuring one large bedroom with 2 queen beds and one small bedroom with an adult-style bunk bed, living room, divided bath and full kitchen. The Hillside Cottage sleeps up to 6, and costs $220 plus tax per night.
Ellis Lane Farmhouse - Four bedroom farmhouse with full kitchen, two sitting rooms and 3 full bathrooms includes two master bedrooms with private baths and two bedrooms with two twins each sharing one full bath. The Ellis Lane Farmhouse sleeps up to 8 and is $400 plus tax per night.
